We reserve the right to change or modify the contents of this Website at any time and unilaterally change this Privacy Policy without notification. 1. Collection of Data and its purposes
When you use this Website to submit a form or an entry, participate in any activity or competition and/or otherwise use the services provided on or via this Website, you may have to provide to the Organizers data of yours or any third party, including but not limited to name, gender, age group, school/university /institute, mobile number, contact details and email address (“Data”). You agree to provide to the Organizers such information voluntarily. If it involves Data of a third party, you have legally obtained and obtained the consent of the third party to provide it to the Organizers, and such third party also agrees to this Privacy Policy. You understand that if the Data is not provided, the Organizers may not be able to proceed with your submission or participation or provide related services, or may not allow you to enter or may discontinue your use of this Website. You agree and understand that any and all of the Data you provided to the Organizers will be collected and used as follows:
- for registration of the submission of entries to the “All You Can Cook!” Culinary Competition (“Competition”);
- for verification of identity and record;
- for correspondence and communication with participants regarding the entry submission and selection and otherwise to the extent necessary for administrative matters for the Competition;
- for uploading and displaying of participants’ information (as a participant of the Competition) to this Website for public viewing and voting;
- for the announcement of the results of the Competition through media platforms and channels in whatever forms, giving the awards and prizes relating to the Competition, and arrangements for the participation in the relevant events held by the Organizers;
- for analysis and evaluation (including comparison with the Data of others) in order to develop and enhance the Organisers’ products or services and market promotion programs;
- for generating survey on user traffic on this Website;
- for handling your service requests;
- for daily operation of your account with convenience;
- for implementing your instruction, processing your submission, responding to your enquiries or those made in your name, and providing efficient and responsive service;
- for recording your submission records made via this Website; and
- for identifying fraudulent activities and transactions, prevent abuse of and investigate and/or prosecute any potential threat to or misuse of our services, and protect your account from unauthorized access.
2. Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance
The Organizers comply with Hong Kong laws including Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (“PDPO”) in their respective policies and the ways each of them collects, uses, stores, discloses, transfers, protects and accesses Data.

You acknowledge, agree and authorize us to retain and store the Data you provided in one or more databases of the Organizers within or outside Hong Kong, and to provide, disclose, allow access and transfer such Data to:
- any employee of HK Electric, Maxim’s and their respective affiliated companies who is authorized to handle such Data for the purposes for which such Data are collected;
- any contractor or agent which provides administrative, telecommunication, computer, payment, insurance, professional or other services to the Organizer(s) and is engaged by the Organizer(s) for the purposes for which such Data are collected or relevant to the purposes for which such Data are collected;
- anyone that the Organizer(s) has to make disclosure to in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws, administrative policies or regulations; and/or
- anyone who reasonably requires the Organizer(s) to make disclosure in order that the Organizer(s) can achieve the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy.
You agree that the Organizer(s) can disclose your Data in the following reasonable and necessary circumstances:
- in compliance with relevant laws;
- to execute or implement any terms of use relating to your use of this Website, or the services provided by the Organizer(s);
- to protect the rights, properties or interests of the Organizer(s), its affiliated companies, employees, agents, customers and users ; or

Maxim’s and HK Electric specifically state herein that they have not and will not sell your Data. The Organizers also will not provide, disclose, allow access and transfer your Data to any third party other than the above.
4. Security of Data
The Organizers will use various security technologies and procedures to protect your Data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. In view of nature of Internet, the Organizers cannot guarantee the security on any transfer of Data. However, the Organizers will take all practical and feasible measures to ensure any Data collected by this Website will not be intercepted by any third party. You must be clear that the any website with links to this Website may collect your Data. You must read the relevant Privacy Policy carefully before you provide your Data to them. Your provision of your Data to any third party has nothing to do with the Organizers and the Organizers will not have any responsibility for such. If the Organizers receives any relevant Data from a third party, it will retain the information in accordance with its strict security and confidential standards.
5. Access, amendment or deletion to Data
You are aware that according to the PDPO, you have the right to access your personal data held by the Organizers and request amendment or deletion of your personal data. The Organizers will handle the request as stipulated in the PDPO. You understand that if your personal data held by the Organizers is deleted, the Organizers will not be able to proceed with your submission or participation in the Competition.

The Organizers reserve the right to use cookies on this Website. The Data of any person who is under the age of 18 (“Minor”) submitted to the Organizers via this Website, including those Data stated in any entry or form, should be provided by the parent(s)/ guardian(s)/school teacher(s) of such Minor. The Minor’s Data submitted to the Organizers via this Website is deemed to be submitted with the consent of the parent(s)/guardian(s) of such Minor. Written consent from the parent(s)/guardian(s) of the Minor may be required to be provided to the Organizers upon their request. The Organizers request parents/guardians to monitor when their child(ren) (i.e. Minor(s)) surf on the web/browse on the application or use this Website.
10. Applicable Laws and Interpretation
(a) This Privacy Policy shall be interpreted according to the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”) and be governed by Hong Kong laws.
